Welcome to the University of Regina Faculty Certificate Program!

The Faculty Certificate Program is a major activity of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and will be held on August 23rd and 24th, 2010. For more information or to register please contact Michelle Zanni at tdc@uregina.ca.

This program engages participants in thinking about ways to enhance their teaching/learning environments, and, more immediately, to get ready for teaching in the very near future. It offers new instructors a community, set apart for a few days, to focus on teaching and learning, a community within which people can share ideas, collaborate with other new instructors, and develop friendships and collegial relationships that go far beyond the program.

We encourage new faculty to participate as we find that the activities of the program help to overcome anxiety associated with teaching in a new institution, and, for some people, teaching for the very first time. Although the program is only offered once a year, the individual components are reconfigured and offered in different formats throughout the year. If you are a new faculty member and are not able to participate in the program this August (but would have liked to) please check the topics of the program and e-mail Michelle Zanni at tdc@uregina.ca to let her know which topics you are interested in, and keep checking our website for info about upcoming events.
